Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 5, 2011 at an 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Charles Borromeo Roman Catholic Church for Emma Dell Davis Colomb, age 89, who passed away Monday, October 31, 2011 at Opelousas General Health System.
Interment will be in Bellevue Memorial Park in Opelousas. The Rev. James Lambert, pastor of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, will officiate at the services.
Mrs. Colomb was a native of Arnaudville and a resident of Bellevue.
Survivors include four sons, Joseph Curley Colomb, Oliver Patrick Colomb and his wife, Alice, Oscar Colomb Jr., and Floyd John Colomb; two daughters, D'etta Landreaux and her husband, Van and Euralee Amos and her husband, Henry; two brothers, Willie Davis and his wife, Shirley and Albert Davis and his wife, Yola; sixteen grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Colomb, Sr.; her parents, Adam Davis and the former Harriet Amos; one son, Larry John Colomb; four brothers, Armand Davis, Leroy Davis, Wilton Davis and Xavier Davis; four sisters, Lena Charles, Theresa Martin, Elizabeth Calais and Shirley Jordan; and two grandchildren, Tanya Landreaux, Gwendolyn Amos and Langston Colomb.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 7:00 a.m. Saturday until service time on Saturday.
